Tropical Storm Faxai passing Marianas over next 24 hours
by Krystal Paco
Guam - As Tropical Storm Faxai makes its way past the Marianas over the next 24 hours, the National Weather Service says the system will bring with it some rain and some hazardous surf conditions. NWS meteorologist Derek Williams told KUAM News, "Keep in mind this is kicking up some heavy surf and seas on the eastside of Guam and eventually on the north side as it gets farther northeast of us. It will produce pretty good northeast swell so we're going to have some hazardous surf around for the next few days."
Faxai is expected to pass east of Guam tonight.
Once the system passes, Williams says we should expect to return to the normal dry season.
