Guam - Senator Aline Yamashita has established the Educators Retirement Association. The non-profit group brings together former teachers, staff members, aides, principals, counselors and custodians.

Yamashita says the establishment of the ERA means all of our committed educators have a place to meet, celebrate, and document their work. "This coming Saturday we're having a meeting for anybody who would like to join era non-profit and really the main point here is to come together and archive who has done what who has helped build our futures and to celebrate that work," she explained.

Their first organizational meeting of the ERA is scheduled for this Saturday, January 11th at Senator Yamashita's office in Tamuning at 9am.
