Guam - The Guam Medical Association has rescheduled this week's meeting to discuss legislation to legalize medicinal marijuana to next Thursday November 14th. Co-author of the bill Sen. Aline Yamashita who was not able to make it to the originally scheduled meeting this week - will be on island and according to GMA has accepted their invitation to meet with them on the 14th. The GMA is also inviting all senators to attend. Senator Tina Muna Barnes, the author of the bill, said she would stick with the legislative process and wait for the GMA to provide their testimony during the bill's public hearing.

Meanwhile Dr. Thomas Shieh is hoping she will reconsider attending, saying, "I never think that Senator Muna Barnes would not come she's always been open so I don't know what's changing her mind but I think it's a good thing and I am hoping she will come to us because its important that we sit down and have an educational session and look at the legislation."

The GMA meeting on medicinal marijuana is scheduled for next Thursday at 6:30pm at the Hyatt.
