Guam - A Japanese tourist got more than he bargained for when he agreed to take a man to his home in Umatac.  GPD Spokesperson Sergeant Liz Flickinger says a male tourist was sitting his rental car on Tuesday evening at Nimitz Beach in Agat.

The victim told police that a male individual only described as being possibly Micronesian standing 5'8 – 5'10 with a medium to heavy build and dark complexion asked to hitch a ride. When they neared the Cetti Bay overlook, the victim pulled over at the request of the passenger and when he did the suspect demanded money from the victim and told him to get out.  Police say the suspect punched the victim who got out of the vehicle.

The robber then took off with the car and headed northbound.  The case remains under investigation.
