Guam - It was Senator Tina Muna Barnes's Resolution 201 that sparked the debate in the community about medicinal marijuana since it was introduced last month. While she had wished both speakers at today's rotary meeting could have testified during the measure's public hearing a few weeks back, she enjoyed the healthy discussion at today's debate saying it would help in moving her proposed legislation forward.

"We still received a lot of Internet messaging, social media has been very positive in receiving support for that, we've received several oppositions and those concerns mainly are the regulations, who's going to handle it and how it's going to relate to kids and those are very critical suggestions that need to be put into the committee report," she said.

She expects the committee report for resolution to be completed by next week with the draft legislation by the second week of October.
