Guam - Medicare-eligible Guam residents can now sign up for the Be A Legacy of Good Health Diabetes Control Program.
The program, which is a collaboration between Mountain Pacific Quality Health Hawaii, the Guam Diabetes Association, and the Guam Department of Public Health, offers a web-based health monitoring tool developed by Medikeeper. At no cost to the participant, they can input confidential screenings for health risks, track data for measures such a blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol, and establish personalized methods for diabetes and general health management.
Data derived from the program will help establish the incidence and prevalence of diabetes on Guam.
Registration is open at the Guam Diabetes Association office in the Tanaka Building in Hagatna Wednesday to Friday, July 24 to 26 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
