Guam - In the coming months diners and shoppers will have more choices at the Guam Premier Outlets. Coldstone Yogurt Bar is set to open doors in July - just in time to cool off the summer heat.
GPO general manager Monte Mesa says it's a first of its kind for the Coldstone franchise and a welcome addition with shoppers and diners looking for healthier options. "Their selection would be the alternative from the regular Coldstone sweet ice cream to the more healthier balanced yogurt flavors and they'll have about 18 different flavors that people will have selection on and putting all types of toppings that are healthy choices," he said.
Come the holiday season, Mesa reports the opening of a Tommy Hilfiger outlet store on November 1. "One thing the Tommy Hilfiger store will bring its at 12,000 square foot store both for men's women's and children's but the prices here are similar to what you will find at the outlet stores in California and Hawaii without sales tax," he said.
Coldstone yogurt and Tommy Hilfiger may be the latest additions but mesa is hoping to attract many more famous brands to the GPO family. "I'll be traveling next week to the annual ICSC Show in Las Vegas for shopping centers and we'll be meeting other national stores who are now taking a lot of interest on Guam with knowing that we not only have Ross here setting national records and sales but also the national stores we have here like Famous Footwear Ninewest Naturalizers Vitamin World as well as Fragrance Outlet," he said.
But what do shoppers really want? "Victoria's Secret is no secret that everybody loves that and that's one of our main targets to hopefully try and get that someday real soon but for the men - a lot of the men say we need more selection for men and we're targeting certain brands that the business men would be able to adapt to very quickly," he said.
