Retirement Fund submitting reform report soon

By next week, the Government of Guam Retirement Fund will be submitting its report analyzing the feasibility of Retirement Fund reforms as outlined in the governor's spending cuts measure lapsed into law at the beginning of this year.

Guam - By next week, the Government of Guam Retirement Fund will be submitting its report analyzing the feasibility of Retirement Fund reforms as outlined in the governor's spending cuts measure lapsed into law at the beginning of this year. Director Paula Blas tells KUAM News that the report is not complete as its board is going over options and suggestions on reforms but should be submitted by April 5.

The report is required by the now public law to include an actuarial analysis of a limited early retirement incentive program, the issuance of a pension bond to decrease the unfunded liability and any other retirement fund reforms. The Retirement Fund board meanwhile is set to meet this Friday at noon.
