Guam - A wedding party of twenty who came to Guam to celebrate the union of two people returned to Japan this afternoon - in a state of mourning.  The bodies of two of their loved ones, Haruko Uehara and Rie Sugiyama, were released by the Medical Examiner's Office and put on the flight with them.

Uehara's grandson and Sugiyama's brother was scheduled to get married on Valentine's Day but the wedding was cancelled due to the tragic events in Tumon.  Sugiyama's daughters, an 8-month-old and a 3 year old, who were stabbed during Tuesday's horrific events were discharged from the Guam Memorial Hospital in stable condition to return home.  a 70 year old female was also part of the group headed back to Japan, but she received a medical escort just out of an abundance of caution.

Hospital administrator Joseph Verga said, "All of them from the beginning were getting over the shock of this whole thing and just wanted to go home and rightfully so and we work very hard to try and get them home. There is one patient who remains here in the hospital, a 51-year-old female who remains in guarded condition in our Intensive Care Unit, and she remains here with her family and also the deceased from yesterday."

51-year-old Hitosi Yokota died on Thursday from injuries he sustained when he was struck by the car driven by 21-year-old Chad Ryan Desoto.  Desoto went on a rampage driving onto the sidewalk in Tumon hitting six pedestrians before he crashed into the ABC Store and got out and stabbed eight people.
