Guam - As family and friends are mourning the loss of Guam son Jonathan Jake Tenorio, who was found dead in his home in San Diego, California, even more shocking news was revealed, as his brother has since been  arrested in connection to his slaying.

On Monday Guam time 25-year-old Jake Tenorio, originally from Mangilao was found dead inside his apartment in San Diego. KUAM News today confirmed on the San Diego County Sheriff Department website that Zachary Castro Tenorio was arrested and charged with 1st degree murder. The 21-year old is Jake's little brother.

According to affiliate NBC7 in San Diego police have not released the details of his arrest. The preliminary investigation indicates that Jake had been stabbed. Zachary is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow at 1:30 in the afternoon.

The tragedy has hit close to home especially amongst family friends.  Gabe Baker knew the strong relationship the two brothers shared, saying, "They are pretty close - the brotherly love is not one of those things that can be hidden. They're not scared, you can tell they love each other. Zach is his brother and you can tell that Jake loves Zach. So it's seen, you can see it. They joke around just like they do. It's kind of crazy because I don't see brothers as close as that too often, but they are close."

Baker says Zachary was in San Diego to compete in a jiujitsu tournament and was visiting Jake. He is in complete shock about the entire ordeal, telling KUAM News, "His brother is in the [Naval] Academy, he wanted to follow his brother in the Navy so when I see how a lot of kids act he is just an athlete, a kid, a role model to all the kids in the class. Lots of kids want to be Zach. He's just a good kid. I mean, he's goofy and stuff like that, but what 21-year-old ain't goofy?"

Jonathan graduated from George Washington High School in 2004 and graduated from the United States Naval Academy last year. He was living in San Diego where he was assigned to the USS Bunker Hill. He is married to an assistant attorney general, Christine Santos Tenorio, and is the son-in-law of former senator Frank Blas, Jr.

Rosaries are being said nightly at the Santa Teresita Catholic Church following the 6pm mass.
