Guam - Close to 15,000 toothbrushes and toothpastes are ready for distribution to the island's public elementary schools next month as part of the Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures for Children Around the World program. Micronesia Brokers, Inc. vice president Mike Brown says the program teaches kids to brush at least twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste.

"Like most communities around the world we need to practice good oral health; if we don't we have a problem with decaying teeth or end up missing teeth or teeth that need fillings that are expensive to accomplish," he said.

The program launches February 25 at C.L. Taitano Elementary School.
