Guam - All 30 measures passed by lawmakers during last week's session were transmitted to the Governor's Office today. Of the over two dozen bills, lawmakers passed the revised version of Governor Eddie Calvo's Spending Cuts Bill. Bill 507 had initially proposed up to $70 million in cuts, but after a week of discussion lawmakers removed major sections in the bill including the provisions related to the Government of Guam Retirement Fund, which after all the deletions, would only amount to about $2 million in savings. The Governor's Office meanwhile notes that once received, his legal counsel and fiscal policy team will review the bill.
