Guam - Guam Education Board members want clarification on the use of mesh or clear bags on school campuses. Member Joe San Agustin says stakeholders need more clarity as some student athletes are allowed to use regular bags for after school sports.

At last Wednesday's board meeting, Department of Education superintendent Jon Fernandez admitted that there isn't a board policy on bags, but the measure was implemented years ago after an incident at Simon Sanchez High School where a student created an explosive device using items from home. Meanwhile, high schools have different backpack policies.

Fernandez is working to develop a standard policy.
