Guam - 89 members with the Guam Air National Guard's 254th Red Horse squadron came home early this morning reuniting with their families after completing their deployment to the Southeast Asia region in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The unit deployed a majority of its troops back in February. Unit commander Lt. Col. Audie Artero states, "Overall assessment, in my opinion, is rated outstanding for the first RED HORSE deployment for the Guam Air National Guard…. They personally worked on over 60,000 square feet of pre-engineered buildings." The unit worked on a variety of projects during their deployment to include a runway expansion.
The Guard members were integrated with the 202nd RHS from the Florida Air National Guard.
