Guam - The Guam Police Department's Highway Patrol Division is investigating the island's latest traffic-related fatality. Police and medics responded to a crash on Route 2 in Agat in front of the 76 Gas Station. A vehicle and a motorcycle collided and a woman was trapped under the vehicle and had to be extracted by fire personnel.
CPR was administered en route to Naval Hospital in Agana Heights. Navy Spokesperson Lieutenant William Knight confirms the woman, who reportedly was operating the motorcycle, was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Highway Patrol officers were investigating the cause of the crash.
Police have not released the identity of the female victim. The driver of the other vehicle, a man, is at the Guam Memorial Hospital being treated for injuries and tested as police believe he may have been under the influence of alcohol.
No arrests have been made.
