Guam - Bernard Dela Rosa Toves was released from federal custody following a detention hearing in the district court today. Toves was indicted by a federal grand jury accused of receiving child pornography. The FBI found Toves in possession of a laptop that contained the illegal images after he admitted using his neighbor's Internet access.
The court granted his release on a number of conditions including home detention and location monitoring. Additionally Toves is only allowed to use the Internet while under the direct supervision of one of his parents.
Toves was ordered to appear back in court on August 20 when his trial is set to begin.
