Sanvu moving away from Marianas

Guam - According to the latest advisory issued by the National Weather Service Tropical Storm Sanvu continues to move northwest and is now moving away from the Marianas coastal waters. A tropical storm warning remains in effect for Guam and Rota and surrounding waters out to 40 nautical miles. According to the NWS Guam and Rota will continue to experience the effects of Sanvu as it moves away from the Marianas this evening. Island residents should continue to take necessary safety precautions. Maximum sustained winds of 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour are still expected.
