Guam - The 16th Annual Payless Kick the Fat 5K Run/Walk & Community Fair saw well over 2,000 plus runners come out in support of the event. This is the islands biggest 5k run, which is catered towards being a family oriented event. Coming in first overall was Christopher Magtoto with a time of 16:26; first female runner to cross the line was Kristin Ingvarsson with a time of 20:09.
Other top finishers from the race were Youth 13 and under winner Takumi Simon 21:36 , Eva Laserna 26:23, Junior 14-19 Rico Julio Flores, 17:45, and Martisha Baldonado, 24:12. Open (20-29): Napu Castro, 18:20, and Rhea Macaluso, 22:19.
* Submaster (30-39): John Karns, 17:42, and Arania Adolphson, 21:35.
* Master (40-49): Mark G. Calvo, 23:17, and Marie Benito, 20:24.
* Senior (50-59): Peter Blas, 23:58, and Joy Advincula, 22:38.
