Guam - In an effort to mentor and build self esteem amongst the island's incarcerated teens, the Department of Youth Affairs is starting a community reintegration program. According to DYA director Adonis Mendiola, up to 20 teens at a time will learn vocational skills from social workers, community aides, and 4-H program members from the University of Guam.

The $250,000 program is made possible by the Department of Education's block funding title five that assists with community development.
