Guam - Still searching for the perfect gift for that loved one? IT&E's B.J. Balajadia demonstrated the capabilities of the HTC Flyer, saying, "It's a 7" Android tablet running off the 2.3 Gingerbread OS."

The HTC Flyer is built like a portrait device, as most 7" tablets are. The 5-megapixel HD camera on the back is positioned near the "head" of the device and all of the logos are presented upright when in portrait mode. That doesn't mean this can't pass as a good landscape device, of course. HTCs included white "grips" on the back, and the camera isn't centered so you can hold it comfortably while trying to snap a landscape photo.

"So with the tablet," said Balajadia, "you have access to the Android Marketplace, it gives you access to all the applications - you have e-mail access, you have access to the Internet, Facebook and any social networking apps."

The battery life is impressive, and inside is 16 GB of internal storage, expandable with a Micro-SD card slot beneath a detachable plate on the back. You can also charge it using your computer's USB port.

Balajadia also demo'ed the Scribe Pen, saying, "What separates this tablet from all other tablets is this digital pen. With this pen you are actually able to take notes and write on the device." The Scribe Pen is certainly the highlight of this tablet. "With this device you have an app called Evernote, and with it you are able to sync all the notes that you have saved into your PC, Mac, or another Android, and so once you access those other devices, it will pull up all the notes you've said on Evernote," said Balajadia.

The stylus feels great in the hand and is very natural to hold feeling like your typical ink pen. "You can purchase the HTC Flyer tablet at $399, it comes with a free Mi-Fi device - it allows you to have high speed data on Guam and the CNMI and you can get it at any of the IT&E locations," he said.

Remember, there are just 11 more days until Christmas, so head on over to IT&E today!
