Guam - U.S. Marines based out of Iwakuni Air Station in Japan are expected to conduct fighter jet drills on Guam beginning this Thursday. Japan's Defense Ministry made the announcement as the training was scheduled to be held at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa.

Japan media reports that the drill will consist twenty F/A-18 fighters from Iwakuni as well as a refueling aircraft from Futenma Air Station. The training is scheduled for December 1-18. Military officials have said Guam allows the marines to conduct better effective training as they are unfamiliar with the terrain.
