Guam - While gamers around the world wait for tomorrow's highly anticipated release of "Call of Duty 3: Modern Warfare", fans on Guam apparently didn't have to wait for the video game. Kmart began selling the game last week, but has since stopped after being advised of the premature release.
The game is so sought after around the world that someone actually purchased one on eBay for $1,700. The Guam Kmart store manager declined to comment about why the video games were put out on shelves last week and whether the company has been fined by the maker of the video game. He referred our inquiries to Kmart's corporate offices, which could not be reached due to the time difference.
Apparently, other Kmart stores made the same snafu as online reports indicate that the boxes the games were shipped in came with a note to release the game immediately instead of on November 8.
Gamestop, meanwhile, will release the games to those who weren't able to get their hands on them last week, beginning at midnight tonight.
