Guam - Village mayors want Guam senators and the congresswoman to start acting on the issues surrounding the FSM community on Guam. Last week FSM President Emanuel Mori spoke before the Micronesian community impressing upon them that they must be good guests. The issue stemmed from a triple homicide in Harmon in September involving two rival Chuukese gangs.

President Mori told the FSM community the compact agreement allows them to be here for three reasons - employment, education, and healthcare.

But Yigo Mayor Bob Lizama stressed the issue needs to be handled immediately, saying, "Because if we don't do anything about it we are going to be back at the table again complaining about the same issues day after day chasing after these individuals that don't have a job, not going to school, medical or healthcare but all just out there lounging around and drinking and creating problems.

The mayors were also given assurances from the FSM Consul General's Office that they are developing an action plan to address these issues.
