Guam - Because the average person on Guam with diabetes is 19 years old, Vice Speaker B.J. Cruz is also doing his part to encourage residents to live a healthier lifestyle.  He introduced Resolution 258, which seeks to help residents recognize health signs associated with diabetes in order to control the disease and encourages them to eat healthier foods and make exercise part of their daily routine.

Cruz says diabetes and non-communicable disease are literally debilitating our community while driving the overall cost of healthcare up. The vice speaker added, "We as a community must act now to preserve our health for generations to come."
