Guam - Horizon Lines has announced that it is discontuinuing its Five Star Express (FSX) trans-Pacific container shipping service between the U.S. West Coast, Guam and China.  Final sailings to Guam will be on November 8 & 10.

Guam is seen as "no longer financially viable for Horizon Lines" due to delays with infrastructure improvements, military buildup and funding priorities in Japan.

The company says it will suspend ocean services to Guam and surrounding island with the last sailing from the U.S. West Coast on November 10.
