Guam - A Superior Court judge has allowed Mary Rojas to be released on a $100,000 unsecured bond pending confirmation of her placement. Rojas faces charges of negligent homicide, manslaughter and child abuse after it was determined that her 14-month-old daughter died of malnutrition and pneumonia.
Rojas and the baby's father, Ray Hocog, have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Upon her release, Rojas is not allowed to have contact with Hocog. She was also ordered not to have any contact with her children who are considered potential witnesses.
Her two children are currently in California with relatives.
