Guam - The 2011 Smokin' Wheels Weekend kicks off tonight at the Guam International Raceway Track in Yigo. One of the big events will be the Friday Night Drags starting at 7:00 pm. to give fans a preview of what's to come. Tomorrow morning starting at 8:00 am for all you early birds will be the motocross and ATV's hitting the track along with the Cars Plus Tuff Rig Challenge.

The most grueling event of Smokin' Wheels takes place on Sunday as off island riders take on riders from home in the Shell V-Power Off-Road Buggies& Trucks Endurance Race.

Henry Simpson said, "This is actually one of their All-Japan races. They race this type of race in Japan, 8 different races and one of those 8 races are held on Guam with the third leg of that challenge. These are the top ATV pros along with some of the amateurs and those races will be held on Saturday. That's going to be really good, we built a new track for them and it should be real exciting. Then in the off-road challenge our 3-hour endurance, Mr. Hanawa he's won I think three times and he's coming back. He is always a challenger and so we are all gunning for him for this year. We also have amongst our local racers a really big field of motocross guys. They have been coming out and practicing. They like the new track and so we have a really big group of motocross guys that are going to be out there so you are going to see some topnotch motocross racing at the races this Smokin' Wheels."

One of the main attractions at this year's Smokin' Wheels will be the newly designed Tuff Rig Obstacle Course. 2 off island drivers are here looking to upset hometown favorite Joe Quichocho.

Tom Akigami with the Guam Racing Federation said, "Another exciting event you should be looking forward to be the Cars Plus Tuff Rig Challenge, which will feature 2 off island rigs from North Dakota. 1 is Fat Girl and the driver is Leo Keuther and Shane Vizenor the driver of Lil Nasty which will be going up against Guam's 2nd place Top Truck Challenger Winner from 2010 Joe Quichocho. The track, the 4x4 obstacle course is absolutely beautiful, JMC Equipment has reworked it and you are going to see a lot of action."
