Guam - In skateboarding news, SK8 Guam presents the Tumon Roof Jam this Saturday on the rooftop of DNA Evolution. Admission is free, registration starts at 3:00 pm and the skate jam gets under way at 4:00 pm. There will be free food from TUNU and lots of prizes and giveaways.
Jude Baker with Dizzy, Inc. told KUAM Sports, "This Saturday April 16th is going to be the Tumon Roof Jam. What that is, is basically a skate competition down in Tumon on the roof of the DNA Evolution Building right across Planet Hollywood. Starting at 3:00 pm we'll do registration and then through out the afternoon and evening we will have a small skateboarding competition, demonstrations by the skaters of Guam.
"We are going to have free food going brought to you by TUNU and this is in conjunction with the grand opening of the Volcom Guam Store which is going to be downstairs going on at the same time next to Kicks Hawaii. It's free to anyone who wants to come and skate or for people who want to come and watch and hang out. It should be a real fun event so we hope we can get a lot of people to come down and check it out. The Tumon Skate Jam is presented by SK8 Guam; Guam's non-profit skateboard organization. It's sponsored by Docomo Pacific, DV8 Board shop, Monster Energy Drinks and TUNU BBQ so hopefully we'll see you out there."
