Airport prepared for Japanese evacuees
by Mindy Aguon
Guam - Headed to Guam, the A.B. Won Pat International Airport Authority is prepared to assist any who decide to seek safe harbor in the territory. Airport Marketing Manager Rolenda Faasuamalie says the airport services counter in the arrivals lobby has prepared itself to assist any passengers looking for accommodations, car rental, tax service and any other information they may need to settle in temporarily here.
While there's been no official designation of evacuees or refugees on any of the flights that have arrived from Japan, Faasuamalie says the airport assumes that there are some who have come to Guam to get away from the situation in Japan but the airport is unable to track those numbers.
