Guam - The annual Dinana Minagof Festival took place in the village of Inarajan today. The all-day event allowed students from all over Guam to learn more about the Chamorro culture and arts. Youth program director for Historic Inalajan Tony Mantanona says workshops were put together to allow students to learn chant, song and dance.

The event even included a Chamorro dance competition. Mantanona explained, "Actually if you look around, a majority of the students are from the elementary level. We have a dance competition going on and we have four schools who are participating. There's M.U. Lujan, J.Q. San Miguel, C.L. Taitano and even Talofofo Elementary School. They're going to be performing dance, chant and song."

Vendors sold local Chamorro art such as jewelry and foods for all to enjoy throughout the day.
