Guam - Guam will get greener and schools will have a little more "green" as GTA TeleGuam kicks off its third annual telephone directory roundup to promote recycling.
The contest will provide $10,000 in "green" cash prizes to schools who collect the most outdated telephone directories through March 30. Public, private and federal schools are able to participate.
The contest was started by GTA as part of its green initiative. Last year, Astumbo Middle School won the $3,000 grand prize. Schools collected almost 70,000 telephone directories, which were turned into filler and mulching materials and donated to local farmers.
Each school in Guam will receive an invitation and entry form.
