Guam - The Coast Guard Pacific Strike Team members continue to monitor the salvage operation plans for the sunken dry dock "Big Blue" in Apra Harbor. According to public Affairs Officer Lieutenant JG Wade Thomson, there have been no real issues even with the rainy weather this weekend. He does say Guam Shipyard personnel continue to pump out what he calls the oily water mixture from the dry dock to a fuel tank.

The dry dock began to sink last Monday morning and is two-thirds submerged. The Coast Guard urges all commercial and recreational boating traffic to remain vigilant while transiting near Big Blue.
