Guam - According to the findings of an investigation conducted by American Federation of Teachers Western Regional Director Sol Smith the Guam Federation of Teachers violated its constitution a number of times, for example, when it elected delegates to attend the AFT Convention last year.

Former GFT steward Carol Somerfleck filed a complaint regarding those elections. The AFT also found that the GFT violated its constitution related to the election of officers but noted that the complaint regarding this was not timely.
