Guam - District Court Judge John Coughenor has issued two orders in the election lawsuit filed by the Gutierrez/Aguon team in the federal court. Judge Coughenor, who has been assigned the case, after Chief Judge Frances Tydingco Gatewood recused herself, has granted the Guam Election Commission's motion to remand the election challenge back to the Superior Court.
The judge also ordered that the federal case be on hold until the Superior Court of Guam resolves the case there.
