Guam - President Barack Obama signed the historic bill repealing the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy, which banned openly gay and lesbian soldiers from the military. The repeal was initially included as a provision in the defense bill but like war reparations for Guam was removed.
The signing of today's bill into law by Obama ends an almost twenty-year policy that forced gay and lesbian service members to conceal their sexuality.
