Guam - DOCOMO unveiled the highly-anticipated Blackberry Torch this week and according to advertising manager Simeon Cabrera, the phone is selling like hotcakes. "The customer response for the DOCOMO Torch has been phenomenal," he said. "They are flying off the shelves. Luckily we brought in a pallet of these phones. Once again, it's the newest blackberry smartphone."
The torch has a 3.2-inch touchscreen but also slides open to showcase a complete keyboard which is slightly narrower than the Blackberry Bold 9700. The Torch also features a 5-megapixel camera along with a LED flash to ensure users capture images well. "The most technologically advanced Blackberry smartphone. It's got the brand new touch screen, the brand new operating system featuring the brand new Blackberry App World," Cabrera said.
Many reviews state that the best new feature included in the Torch's Blackberry 6 - the universal search function making everything available at your fingertips. Users can now find just about any piece of content on the phone simply by beginning to type the name into the device. This includes apps, music, contacts, notes, emails or just about anything you're looking for.
The Blackberry Torch can be found exclusively at DOCOMO Pacific stores for $299.
