Guam - The Department of Public Works and the Tamuning Mayor's Office are working collaboratively with the Department of Parks & Recreation to rid Matapang Beach in Tumon of falling coconuts. Residents had previously voiced concern that the coconuts posed a safety hazard.

Parks & Rec even went as far as placing caution tape around the trees. Parks administrator Mike Cura says they are about 50% complete and expects coconuts to be removed before the end of the week.
