Guam - Republican senatorial candidates for the 31st Guam Legislature were among those in attendance at the GOP fundraiser who were inspired by Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele's speech.  "He was very motivating in his speech," noted candidate Steve Guerrero, "where at least every single candidate could go with what he said and go with it, capitalize on it."

Another senatorial hopeful, Dr. Sam Mabini, said of Steele's presentation, "He did touch on our connection with the big national party, I would have liked to hear maybe more about how he would envision that more in the future, but I believe that's where he's going to depend on us to help build that."

And incumbent Frank Blas, Jr. added, "That's what you expect from a Republican - straightforward.  Mr. Steele has brought an enthusiasm of vigor."

"I've done my research on Michael Steele," said Mana Silva Taijeron, running for the Guam Legislature for the first time.  "It's kind of his personality; he's real, he says it like it is and I really appreciate the kind of person he is and what he brings to the table."
