Guam celebrates National Safe Boating Week

Guam - Today marks the start of National Safe Boating Week on Guam. Lieutenant Governor Mike Cruz signed a proclamation yesterday kicking-off events for the week. The U.S. Coast Guard, and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary have planned numerous public activities which to include a static display with numerous educational workshops today at the Agana Shopping Center parking lot.
The educational fair will be followed by recreational boating safety checks at the Agat Marina tomorrow from 9am through 4pm, then at the Merizo Pier on Tuesday, the Ylig Bridge on Thursday and at the Hagatna Boat Basin next Saturday. All events are open to the public.
