Guam Economic Development Authority hosts virtual training conference

The Guam Economic Development Authority is inviting local businesses to think beyond Guam.
GEDA will host its “Taking The Leap Beyond Guam” virtual export conference on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The free-to-attend conference is designed for local businesses, aspiring entrepreneurs, and individuals interested in expanding their knowledge of exporting. The interactive event will provide resources, insight, and access to export opportunities.
Taking the Leap Beyond Guam is part of the Guam state trade expansion program, funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The conference aims to provide small businesses and entrepreneurs with tools and strategies to export to international markets, while connecting them with potential export opportunities and industry experts.
GEDA CEO and Administrator Christina D. Garcia said the event provides an avenue for entrepreneurs to engage with subject matter experts and learn from local businesses already exporting.
This year’s conference will feature representatives from the U.S. Embassy Tokyo Agricultural Trade Office, Japaniq, Seely Mint, the Bare Beans company, the Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association, Hyatt Regency Guam, Kingfisher’s Noni, and more.
