GVB selects Ina Carillo as director of destination development

The Guam Visitors Bureau has selected Ina Carillo as its new director of destination development following a competitive, multi-stage recruitment process. The position became vacant on December 27, 2025, after the retirement of former director Dina Rose Hernandez.
Carillo accepted the offer on January 21 and will officially assume her duties on February 9.
As director of destination development, Carillo will lead strategic initiatives to strengthen Guam’s tourism product, enhance visitor experiences, promote Chamoru culture, and support the sustainable growth of the island’s tourism sector. Her responsibilities include the planning, development, and coordination of destination development and cultural heritage programs tied to tourism sustainability.
Carillo was selected from a strong pool of applicants through a process that included application examinations, certification of eligibility, panel interviews, and final approval by GVB leadership.
“We are delighted to welcome Ms. Carillo to our leadership team,” said Regine Biscoe Lee, president and CEO of GVB. She adds "her deep understanding of our island’s potential, along with her experience in both the public and private sectors, made her the ideal candidate to lead our Destination Development Division”.
