Trade winds hold steady; shearline to bring mid-week showers
The National Weather Service says our drier tradewind pattern will hold across the Marianas — with moderate trades and only isolated light showers for now. Combined seas are running between 6 and 8 feet, with north and east facing shores seeing surf up to 8 feet. No advisories are currently in effect.
But a shear line near Pagan is expected to slip south in the coming days — bringing a better chance for showers by mid- to late-week, and breezier conditions into the weekend. Seas and surf are also forecast to rise as winds pick up.
And the weather service reports no suspect areas for tropical development over the next week.
