DOC visitor accused of smuggling meth; more drugs found in car
A woman accused of trying to smuggle methamphetamine into the Department of Corrections is now facing a slate of additional drug charges after officers found even more contraband inside her vehicle — with a child present.
According to a magistrate’s complaint, 40-year-old Delores Lynn Meno showed up at the DOC Visitor Center on Monday afternoon to drop off items for a detainee. When corrections officers searched a pair of shoes she brought in, they discovered a medical syringe filled with methamphetamine.
A DOC K-9 unit then conducted a free-air sniff of her vehicle parked outside. The dog alerted officers to the presence of illegal drugs. Inside her car — where a minor child was also sitting — officers found a purse containing two pipes with drug residue and three small resealable bags. The items were turned over to Guam Police.
Meno was arrested and later charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance with intent to deliver, promoting major prison contraband, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, and promoting prison contraband.
She was released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond. If convicted on all counts, she faces up to 36 years in prison.
