Man charged after alleged assault, car theft at Pearl Massage

A man accused of violently attacking a woman and stealing her car is now behind bars on $5,000 cash bail. 55-year-old Yi Tuan Sun is facing multiple charges — including theft of a motor vehicle, interfering with the reporting of family violence, and family violence.
According to court documents, the incident happened early Sunday morning at Pearl Massage, where a woman told police Sun — someone she knew — slapped her, kicked her, threatened to kill her, and tried to force her into sexual activity after she stepped outside.
Investigators say Sun took her cell phone to stop her from calling for help. A customer eventually intervened, allowing the woman to escape and contact police.
Sun allegedly fled in the woman’s car, but officers later found the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop, and arrested him.
If convicted, Sun could face up to 12 years in prison.
