Agriculture Department kicks off Arbor Month 2025 with tree plantings and fire prevention activities

The Guam Department of Agriculture’s Forestry and Soil Resources Division is celebrating Arbor Month this October under the theme “Green Spaces, Shared Places: Enhancing our Forest Together.”
Throughout the month, the Division will host tree planting events, fire prevention activities, and community outreach programs, all focused on protecting and restoring Guam’s forests.
Officials say this year’s theme underscores the importance of working together to care for the island’s natural spaces.
Forestry Chief Christine Fejeran adds that Arbor Month coincides with Fire Prevention Week, reminding everyone that preventing wildfires plays a major role in keeping Guam’s forests healthy.
Together, the Department and its partners aim to make Guam greener, stronger, and more resilient for generations to come.
