An all-female lineup is set to take the stage this weekend as Jam Sessions present Roots & Soul, a night celebrating music, empowerment, and island talent.

The concert headlined by Eli-Mac features local artists ladysoul, brandi jae, and tini. It all happens this Saturday at the Plaza de España in Hagåtña.

The ladies shared what fans can expect when they hit the stage.

“LadySoul is plain and simple. Soul, right? You’ll hear some soulful music, a little bit of R&B, a touch of jazz. And mostly, my second half of the set, reggae for sure,” said Lady Soul.

“Oh from me, litty. It’s gonna be lit. It’s just gonna be a lot of fun. I’m a hot mess, it’s gonna be a great mess. A beautiful mess. And I’m so excited,” added TINI.

“Yup, it’s gonna be action. Action, energy, and vibes. Big bands. Big vibe. It’s gonna be a vibe,” said Eli-Mac.

“And for my set you can expect a very multi-genre sound. A melting pot of such because as a songwriter I really find it, right now, hard to place me in one sound. I’m gonna have a nice variety of genres going on. Some rock, some acoustics, some EDM,” said Brandi Jae.

Beyond the music, the performers hope to inspire the next generation of female artists to follow their passion and stay grounded.

“Be yourself, you know, stay true to who you are and never forget where you came from and just…I was saying earlier, who you surround yourself with is important and just learn everything you can. About the music biz, about publishing, about distribution, about management, about a booking agent. Y’know education is key,” added Eli-Mac.

Roots & Soul takes over the Plaza de España this Saturday, a night of energy, empowerment, and island talent you won’t want to miss.

Doors open at 4 p.m. and tickets are still available at guamtime.net.
