GTA Gives, Women's Chamber team-up to assist Alee Shelter

In this week’s Giving Every Tuesday, two community partners came together with a mission to empower women and give hope where it’s needed most. It’s called Bloom With Kindness—a first-time partnership between GTA Gives and the Guam Women’s Chamber of Commerce’s Fanachu Famalåo’an program. The goal? To collect feminine and hygiene products for women at the Alee Shelter of Guam.
Survivors of domestic violence often arrive with little more than the clothes on their backs. These small necessities—overnight pads, body wash, deodorant—become symbols of dignity and strength.
Michele Catahay Perez with GTA said, "[We want to] thank donors for their generosity, a coupon for a personalized wristlet offered at the Fanachu Famalåo’an activation, created in collaboration with the Girls Bar.
For GTA, giving back is part of their DNA. From youth camps to school initiatives, GTA Gives is about building connections and helping communities grow. And the Women’s Chamber continues to elevate that mission. Later this month, they’ll host Fanachu Famalåo’an 2025: In Bloom—the island’s largest gathering of women leaders, professionals, and entrepreneurs. A sold-out summit at the Hyatt Regency Guam, bringing together more than 300 women to share ideas and fuel growth.
Whether through everyday giving or empowering women on stage, these two organizations are proving that kindness blooms—and when it does, the whole island grows stronger.
All donations directly benefit the women and families at the Alee Shelter, offering not just support, but a reminder that our island community stands with them every step of the way.
