A 39-year-old man is facing multiple charges after allegedly assaulting two Guam Police officers during his arrest earlier this week.

Authorities say Misphares Kaiser, also known as Msphares Misaro Kaiser, was charged with drug possession, two counts of assault on a peace officer, and several lesser charges including disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

The case stems from a September 10 incident in which police responded to an assault report. A witness told officers Kaiser had pulled a woman’s hair and slapped her face. Police say Kaiser appeared intoxicated, became combative, and mocked an officer who was injured while trying to detain him.

Another officer was kicked in the face as Kaiser resisted being placed into a patrol car. During a search, police recovered a glass pipe with burnt residue that tested positive for methamphetamine.
