The community is invited to a Town Hall hosted by Tåno Tåsi yan Todu in partnership with local and federal agencies.

The meeting takes place on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Mangilao Community Center.

The event will highlight conservation efforts at the Taguan area near 1000 Steps, focusing on protecting native limestone forests, managing invasive species, and promoting cultural and ecological healing.

Residents, landowners, and stakeholders are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and share input.

Speakers will cover topics like ungulate management, native tree planting, and long-term stewardship goals.

Light refreshments will be served, along with free native tree giveaways.

Organizers say the initiative is about restoring the island’s forests, protecting cultural traditions, and creating a healthier future for the next generation.
