A 21-year-old man is behind bars after police say he was caught on surveillance video puncturing a tire at Paradise Estates in Dededo.  Dante Buensuceso, Jr. is charged with criminal mischief and making a false report.

Officers say when they confronted him, he first gave a false name and then handed over a knife and brass knuckles. Court documents show Buensuceso denied damaging the tire, but later admitted pressing a pin into it to let air out. He then claimed another man actually slashed the tire and gave him the knife.

Records from the Attorney General’s Office show Buensuceso has 11 prior arrests and five convictions. If convicted on the latest charges, he faces up to six years in prison.

He remains held on $7,000 cash bail.
